Starting his career as a site engineer and progressing to become a civil engineering graduate and a chartered civil and municipal engineer, Paul secured a role at West Yorkshire Council and John Laing, before branching out to form his own company in 1979.
Under Paul’s leadership, the business rapidly expanded with significant achievements in building; design and build together with development and property. Today he retains an important hands-on role with Caddick Group and has built a trusted team of experts both at board level and across the wider business.
After graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a degree in Real Estate Management, Johnny spent four years working for Dalgleish and CBRE before joining the family business. He brought with him the Trinity Leeds shopping centre project, a joint venture with Land Securities to develop one million sq ft of retail space in Leeds city centre which is worth £600million.
Today Johnny is involved in mixed-use projects up and down the country, increasingly in the residential sector, with a particular focus on PRS.
Having been appointed as managing director of Caddick Developments in 2015, Myles oversees the continued expansion of the company’s development programme.
Myles has worked at Caddick Group since 1997 and his impressive portfolio includes Crosspoint33 Wakefield, residential schemes in Manchester and York, a retail scheme in Gateshead anchored by Asda, Quarry Hill in Leeds and the recently acquired City One site in Leeds City Centre. Myles is also a Director of Moda Living, the Groups residential PRS joint venture.
He has a degree in Urban Land Economics from Sheffield University and previously worked with Leeds-based Weatherall Green & Smith, undertaking all aspects of agency and general practice work.
Graduating with a degree in Urban Land Economics, Jim began work in the office agency team at Weatherall Green & Smith in Leeds, where he qualified as a Member of RICS before moving to the investment team at Erdman Lewis. He subsequently joined Caddick Developments in 1995.
Jim has been involved in a wide range of development projects across the industrial, retail, office and sports sectors including a new depot for UPS Logistics, the John Lewis anchored Monks Cross development in York, M&S Simply Food and significant property work on behalf of Leeds Rugby Ltd. Jim is currently working on the City One project in Leeds as well as ensuring the delivery of a new 650,000 sq ft warehouse for TK Maxx at Wakefield.
As Group Finance Director, Paul oversees all aspects of the day-to-day accounting and taxation matters at Caddick.
With a degree in Mathematics from Manchester University, Paul’s passion for figures led to a career in accountancy and he is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
He joined Caddick in 1996 and was most recently Group Accountant before being appointed to his latest role.
In 2011, James graduated from the University of York with a degree in Mathematics and subsequently joined a York-based accountancy firm. He became a qualified Chartered Accountant in 2015 and joined Caddick shortly afterwards.
James works closely with all members of the team and is responsible for many of the day-to-day accounting and taxation matters within the group
Paul has been involved in the construction and property industry in excess of 30 years.
His expertise covers most sectors with a strong bias towards residential, commercial and hospitality development opportunities.
As a Land Management graduate, Allie began her career at Cushman Wakefield. She moved to shopping centre development and then to high street agency and shopping centre leasing, qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor along the way.
In 2002 Allie joined Caddick Developments and now acts as a consultant, operating from London. She is working on various current projects and is responsible for retail development and leasing.
Simon gained a degree in Quantity Surveying in 2001 and has worked for a family based firm for the last 10 years as a Project Quantity Surveyor. Simon joins Caddick Developments with experience in residential, commercial, retail and in recent years, a concentrated involvement within both public and private healthcare sectors.
Simon joined Caddick Developments in August 2014 and his role involves being a link to Caddick Construction for development projects, in respect of design development, costs planning and project management.
Ian has over 35 years of design, project management and funding experience in housing development across the UK, with an emphasis on regeneration and special projects.
He joined the retirement development joint venture of the Caddick and HICA Groups in 2007 and continues to work on care, housing, public sector and commercial schemes for the Group.
An Urban Land Economics degree graduate, Sarah began her career in private surveying practice with Oakgate Group Plc where she qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and asset-managed the company’s mixed portfolio in-house.
Sarah joined Caddick Developments in 2004 from Carter Jonas and is responsible for the planning and development of the Quarry Hill scheme in Leeds and Scarborough Business Park, as well as securing option agreements on strategic land emerging through Local Authorities’ LDFs.
Helen graduated with a degree in Law with German and subsequently completed her LLM in Advanced Commercial Property whilst training and qualifying with Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, as a Commercial Property Solicitor. She later became sole legal counsel for a family development company in West Yorkshire dealing with all legal property matters, as well as overseeing the property management of the portfolio.
In 2013 Helen set up her own property consultancy company dealing with asset and property management issues before joining the team at Caddick Developments in the summer of 2014. Helen is responsible for looking after the assets within the property portfolio.
Steve recently joined Caddick Developments and has worked in commercial property investment and development in Manchester and the North West of England for over 25 yrs. He was previously a Director of a well-known North West based property Investor and Developer and was responsible for the delivery of Birchwood Park in Warrington, a 123 acre 1.8million sq ft mixed use business park. He has undertaken many new build office and industrial projects as well as complex city centre office re developments. He won the BCO Award in 2007 for the 180,000 sq ft Bridgewater Place office scheme.
He has a degree in Urban Land Economics from Sheffield Polytechnic and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
Chris is a Director of the Caddick Land business. He has a background in Geographical Sciences, with BSc and MSc qualifications from the University of Nottingham. He has over 10 years’ experience in commercial multi-disciplinary consultancy working in a number of delivery and managerial roles.
In 2011 Chris established a renewable energy developments business in partnership with the Caddick Group, progressing a number of wind turbine projects and obtaining consent for over 100MW of solar schemes. Latterly, Chris expanded the business into other sectors including residential and commercial property.
More recently, Chris moved across to the Caddick Group to establish the Caddick Land business to further strengthen the already strong partnership.
David is Caddick’s Land Manager. He oversees the site acquisitions and appraisals and will often be your first point of contact with the business.
David has driven forward the diversification of the Caddick business with his knowledge of current planning policy, site economics and market demand and is able to quickly assess a scheme’s potential. He has excellent knowledge of what makes a project work and offers honest advice on every site, whether there is an immediate prospect or there is very limited chance of success.
David works closely with the appointed planning team on all our projects, helping to guide the planning strategy and overseeing the work undertaken. By closely monitoring projects he is able to maximise the chance of a positive outcome that meets the commercial reality of the site and the aspirations of the landowner. David communicates closely with landowners throughout all projects ensuring their views are heard and that they truly feel part of the project.
Former managing director of Caddick Developments, John Bywater continues to be involved with the company through his non-executive role.
John is a qualified chartered surveyor and has worked for a number of companies including British Rail, Leeds Corporation, the Burton Group, Joshua Tetley, Donaldsons and was the managing director of Hammerson UK for 10 years.
Taking the top job at Caddick Developments in 2007, he spent eight years driving forward its large scale, mixed-use development programme, before stepping down in 2015.
A qualified chartered accountant, Peter teamed up with Paul Caddick during the company’s early years. Since then he has seen sustained growth and value creation across the group.
