Popular York City Centre development The Walk now only has five units remaining.
Work completed on the £7million regeneration programme just a few months ago to breathe new life into a derelict office building in the heart of York.
Caddick Developments led the redevelopment and sister company Caddick Construction was on-site for eight months converting the building on Holgate Road into a contemporary residential scheme of 50 flats. The scheme has proved a hit with both investors and residents meaning only four, one-bedroom and one, two-bed properties are now available for purchase.
Myles Hartley, managing director at Caddick Developments, adds: “Clearly the redevelopment has been exactly what the York market was crying out for given the speed in which the flats have sold.
“The development is sympathetic to its surroundings and the fact only five remain demonstrates the strength of offer the scheme provides to residents and investors alike.”
A unique feature of this city centre development is its gated environment and garden landscaping which includes an urban orchard. The property also provides a very handy pedestrian link directly to York train station.
The building was completely stripped back to the original concrete frame and re-cladded with modern energy efficient materials to create a feature building, on this important arterial road into the city centre.
