November 2022

We are inviting residents to help shape proposals for the latest phase of our SOYO Leeds scheme prior to a planning application being submitted.

The proposal for Block D looks to bring student residential accommodation to SOYO, comprising 275 purpose-built residences.

The accommodation will include a mix of studio and cluster apartments.

Alistair Smith, our associate director: “SOYO is an entirely new neighbourhood for Leeds, helping to regenerate a key gateway to the city and enhance the cu

ltural quarter. Our ambitious plans have already seen residents move into New York Square, and these new

proposals – which will see high-quality student living brought to the site – will further enhance the vibrancy of the area. We look forward to working with colleagues and stakeholders to bring these plans to life.”

SOYO is mixed-used development and when finished, it will occupy more than one million sq ft incorporating shops and restaurants as well as some of the largest landscaped open spaces in the city.

SOYO has been under construction since October 2019, with phase one – Moda New York Square – already complete, and phase two – for Hestia – under construction.

The project has already supported 700 jobs for local Leeds residents, with £43.7m spent via local supply chain networks.

The public has until Wednesday 16th November to respond to the consultation.
